Culture is a special kind of phenomenon of human society. Within it, advanced culture is the fuel of the development of society. With the emerging of the concept of cultural power, managing schools through culture has become consensus of educational administrators. At present, the idea of student-centered education is getting more and more popular. With the impetus of quality education and the reform of elementary educational curriculum, it is crucial to do research on the middle school cultural construction under the new curriculum.Campus culture in middle schools is a group culture, which is based on the material culture and spiritual culture developed in the history of a school. It is also an important invisible course embedded in school educational curriculum. On the one hand, as a kind of "potential energy", no other means of education can compare with or substitute it. It influences students'ways of looking at the world, their moral character, personality and behaviors directly or indirectly through standardization, hint, exposure, enlightenment and supervision. With this impact, students can improve their overall quality and reach the goal of harmonious development. On the other hand, as part of advanced Chinese culture, campus culture in middle school benefits social culture:the former is the foundation of the latter and guides the latter. As a result, whether graduates have great ambitions, strong aspiration, sound personality and positive psychology or not depends mainly on the quality of campus culture. This thesis first reviews the related theories on the construction of campus culture in middle schools under the new curriculum. It then analyses the characteristics of and problems with the construction. Finally, it puts forward some practical strategies of how to build middle quality campus culture. The paper consists of four parts. Part One explains the core meaning of the reform of the new curriculum, its connotations and its functions.
