The Social Work Intervention For Migrant Workers Aggregation Community

In recent years, with the economic development of Shanghai, social transformation and the continuous progress of urbanlization, a large number of migrant workers flows into shanghai. Since industry-oriented and the lower cost of living, more and more migrant workers inhabited into outskirts or rural areas and aggregated as a special community.With the complex social relations of migrant workers, there are more serious policing and environment problems in the community. While, these problems always be ignored by community managers and service providers. In this context, it is necessary for non-governmental organization to offer social work intervention to the migrant workers.The article focuses on the social intervention itself. It based on a typical migrant workers community named T village in Shanghai. Through the investigation and analysis for migrants needs and the problems they are faced with, researcher made the proposal of social work intervention. During the process of program implementation, researcher observed and reflected the intervention with the view of action research, summarized the advantages and defects of the social work intervention; assess the effectiveness of the intervention and also give the suggestions to further improvement.
