Cognitive style and Teaching Methods'Impact on academic achievement is very importantin in Educational Psychology, The students of different cognitive style by its matching method of teaching is the effective strategies to improve student performance.Cognitive style is an individual,consistent manner in which individuals organise and process information, There are no fine or inferior differences of it.The influence of cognitive style goes beyond individual's cognitive process to include individual psychological characteristic and throughout the psychological functioning of individuals.To the students,different manners in organising and processing information are chosen by individuals who have different cognitive styles,which can influence their ability of processing different kinds of information and academic achievement. Field Dependent/Independent Cognitive Styles is One of the typical type in cognitive style.When make judgments of objective things, The person with field independence characteristics, apt to analysis of external stimulation, attitude to accept in the perception by environmental factor influence less. To judge for objective things, often use its own internal reference, not easily affected by external factors and interference. The person with field dependability characteristics, tend to view things with whole way in consciousness for easy performance by environmental factor influence. They to the object perception tends to external reference as information processing basis, it hard to shake off the influence of environmental factors. Their attitudes and self-awareness more vulnerable people around them, especially the influence of pundits and disturbance, good sense motive, attention and memory of social content words information.Teaching methods is one of the significiant domains in contemporary teaching reform.Teaching methods is a general name of teaching styles,which taken by the students and the teachers in the teaching process to achieve teaching-objective. The teaching methods bring about different influences on the ability to process information and their academic achievement when the students'cognitive styles are different.Field independence, field dependability and student's study has close relationship. Research shows that field independence students typically prefer natural science and mathematics, in these subjects they can get good grades, and both positively correlated. Their study motive often motivation mainly within. Field dependability students were generally prefer social science, their learning more to rely on external feedback Compared to things, they more interested in things. People of field independence are good at using the perceptual approach, and people of Field interdependent favoured the murky analysis and general or whole perception mode , they can be difficult to distinguish from complex situation in some elements or something part. In addition, field independence and field dependence students have different preferences on the teaching methods . Field independent students is easy to provide structure of the material without structure, Easy to adapt structure without strict teaching methods. Otherwise, Field dependability students like have strict structure teaching, Because they need external structure of teachers,and also need teachers'clear guidance and explanation.For students with different cognitive ways, the teaching methods have varied affects upon their physics-problems solving ability and then the influence of their physical achievements is also different . Match with cognitive style of physical teaching method, which is beneficial to the improvement of students' physical ability to solve problems, will eventually be able to achieve the purpose of improving students' physical resultIn this study, In order to offers theoretical and practical evidences in differential teaching and impoving the students'Physical performance,I chose 116 Senior two students as experimental subjects, foucing on cognitive styles,teaching methods and Physical performance as the contents to explore the influence on Physical performance when the students'cognitive styles are different, the influence on Physical performance by different teaching methods,and the interaction between cognitive styles and teaching methods to Physical performance. The results indicated that:1. Under the condition of this experiment,field-independent students expressed advantages in studying Physics.Significant difference was found among cognitive styles in physics earning.,this ability of field-independent students was significiantly better than that of students of field-dependent2.Under the condition of this experiment,the same teaching method caused different influence on Physical performance when the students having different cognitive styles.The different teaching methods caused different influence on Physical performance when the students having the same cognitive style.Under the condition of two kinds of teaching methods,there was no significant difference between two groups of field-independent students.Under the condition of"Task-driven approach"teaching methods, Field Dependence-based subjects have significantly improved the physical performance.That is to say, the " Task-driven approach " teaching method had a positive impact academic performance on field-independent students.
