Since 2004, Guangdong, Shandong, Hainan and Ningxia provinces have become the first test area in the new curriculum reform. The course of general technology has gone to nearly seven years. Students might have easily leaded interest in this quite practical and innovative curriculum and changed the way of learning. However, if teachers do not pay attention to the value of the course, to show the charm of teaching, students may decline or loss interest except students of technical accomplishment and innovation. Task-driven approach is implanted into general technology course to show unique style and strategy of instruction designer and actors. At last heterogeneous with the same class will be constructed.How to design the task is the first thing in task-driven approach. The task is divided into closed task and open task. Instruction design in this article is based on these two types of tasks. Then the class lectures are shown to students based on the design. During the teaching process in the task-driven approach, students take part in exploration and engagement in a strong motivation, driven by active application of learning resources and the teacher plays the role of collaborator, guide and participant. According to Ausubel's theory of achievement motivation, this paper focuses on exploring the motivations for different kinds of students; teachers carry out teaching in order to enable students gain useful knowledge as much as possible for their own interests, to assist students construct true knowledge by themselves and to develop personality of students themselves.
