Under the influence of science, modern Chinese language teaching is pinched with phenomenological crises, among which the absence of love is the most urgent one needing to be resolved. In the teaching process of Chinese, the objectification of students, of texts, and of teachers is becoming increasingly popular and intense as a result of the influence of science.To call for the presence of love-oriented teaching, to have love present itself and become self-evident are the first step toward resolving the teaching crisis by the love-oriented Chinese teaching. Love-oriented Chinese teaching displays some basic distinct characteristics when love presents its essential features step by step through phenomenological reductions.The phenomenological reductions have smashed the anthropocentric myth which regards love as one attribute of man under the influence of science. Characterized by its prioritizing role and its bewegung, love presents itself as an action moving from a lower value toward a higher value. With this conception of love, the love-oriented Chinese teaching displays such basic distinct features as gratitude, appreciation and focus on compassion . With respect to it value orientations, the love-oriented Chinese teaching demonstrates such existentialist value orientations as being existential, transcendental and life.Love oriented Chinese teaching is a teaching conception as well as a teaching program. In chapter five of this thesis, the writer demonstrates a distinctive teaching design of love by utilizing this new conception and program of Chinese teaching.
