A Study On Optimization Of General Education Curriculum's Instruction In Colleges And Universities In China

With the deepening reform of higher education, strengthening general education to cultivate compound talents becomes a top priority. General Education is the combination of educational philosophy and curriculum implementation from the development of a narrow professional education, in China after ten years of practice, which has made some achievements, more and more educators'recognition and attention. The curriculum is the main way to implement general education, but there are many problems in the implementation process: teacher and student understanding of teaching general education courses which paid insufficient attention/ general courses teaching organizational structure and management system and facilities imperfect/ the problem of general course construction/ the weakness of general curriculum teachers/ a single form of teaching form and methods of general courses. This paper will make an exploration into the optimization strategy of teaching about general education curriculum from three levels which are colleges and universities/ teachers and students, using Document Analysis and Case Approach and Theory Method, carrying General Education courses on the teaching of domestic analysis using the effective teaching and teaching the relevant principles of optimization theory, combining the characteristics of General Education course. Colleges and universities: strengthening the importance of general education, the establishment of General Teaching Guidance Center, setting up system security, increasing the financial support and management and supervision of general course teaching, strengthening the construction of general education teachers and perfecting teaching evaluation mechanism of general curriculum teaching. Teachers: well-organized teaching content of curriculum, using a variety of teaching methods, full using of modern educational technology, promoting research teaching and strengthening the practice of teaching. Students: the emphasis on study of general education courses and learning to learn.
