General Education has become the hotspot of current higher education reform since the higher education sector started the ambitious project of the cultural quality education in china. However, as the soul of the General Education, the General Education curriculums still have many problems, such as setting unreasonable, unsatisfactory quality and so on. How to protect the quality of general education courses becomes the focus of promoting the success of higher education reform. And the assessment of general education curriculums is the key to protect the quality of general education.In this paper, the value orientation of general education curriculum assessment is a starting point. .And based on the general value orientation of curriculum assessment model and the combined characteristics of general education courses, we try to establish General Education Assessment System of triple helix structure, and give examples of a few kinds of general education curriculum assessment methods. We analyze the general education curriculum to the main room for assessment of the value orientation, specifically discuss the assessment of General Education courses of the goal, process and outcome-focused three-helix structure of the fundamental basis for the establishment and internal mechanism of the structure. In practice, the paper cites several effective assessment methods such as the portfolio assessment, Socratic discussion method, a pen and paper tasks and the Course-Embedded Assessment in current general education curriculum.The essay adopts the document-analysis method. It uses general theory of curriculum assessment papers and the principal link theory with practice, learns from the practical experience of Europe and the United States and Hong Kong and Taiwan, and combines with general education curriculum development in Mainland China's real, try to put General Education Assessment System structure of the evaluation of the general education curriculum to some extent.
