Autonomous learning ability is considered as the important issue by all universities. Education in university should not only focus on instructing normal students knowledge, but should attach more importance to the cultivation of their autonomous learning ability. Normal students can do a better job in school learning after the sufficient cultivation of their autonomous learning ability, and they will benefit from that in their later life including their job. However, university teachers and administer didn't concern a lot about the cultivation of normal students'autonomous learning ability, therefore, there are some problems in cultivating normal students'autonomous learning ability. In conclusion, this thesis with the theme of research on the issues of cultivating normal students'autonomous learning ability and the corresponding strategies is necessary and will help solve some realistic problems.This paper chooses normal students from Chongqing C University as the research subject. And the author has made use of various methods including learning and making analysis about periodical literatures, conducting interviews as well as observing classes. After holding the interviews with the teachers and normal students, we will conclude the issues of cultivating normal students'autonomous learning ability, and make analysis about the reasons, finally we will come to the last part to offer some strategies to cultivate normal students'autonomous learning ability.First of all, the author introduces the definition, features and the research theory basis of the normal students'autonomous learning ability after summarizing other author's research .the normal students'autonomous learning ability means the normal students is responsible for their study and they are able to control the learning process. Concretely it means normal students can set their learning targets, make learning plans, be able to control the learning process, valuate their learning results. The paper take the Subjectivity education theory, constructivism, humanism, Zone of proximal development as the basis of the study on problems in cultivating normal students' autonomous learning ability and its corresponding strategies.Secondly, after the interviews with the eight teachers and sixteen normal students, we find out that there are problems in cultivating normal students'autonomous learning ability. And the problems includes that teachers didn't concern a lot about the cultivation of normal students'autonomous learning ability, teachers haven't offered help to normal students about how to set learning targets, and the teaching methods teachers use are so confined, teachers didn't pay too much attention to directing normal students to control themselves in the learning process, and teachers didn't help normal students with valuations about their learning.Thirdly, considering for the problems mentioned above, we will make analysis about the factors. And we found that the subjective factors include that teachers have the wrong conceptions about the autonomous learning, and teachers pay too much attention to their teaching rather than students'learning, teachers don't get harmoniously with students, teachers don't create active atmosphere in the classroom and teachers are no longer as enthusiastic like before after teaching for quite a few years. While the objective factor contain that school doesn't offer abundant learning resources and the way school evaluate about normal students are so confined.Lastly, based on the above analysis, we will try to offer some strategies on how to cultivating normal students'autonomous learning ability. We will just focus on the two aspects, which are teachers and the school. On one hand, the teachers should pay more attention to the cultivation of the normal students'autonomous learning ability, and they should develop harmonious relationship with students, so as to create nice learning atmosphere. Besides, teachers should help normal students set leaning targets, attach important to teaching normal students learning methods and teachers should improve their teaching methods, so as to cultivate normal students'autonomous learning ability better and better. On the other hand, the school should try its best to provide more learning resources for students, create fine learning atmosphere in school, and set more standards and use more methods to valuate normal students'study, so as to better cultivate their autonomous learning ability.
