Yoga is a kind of intellectual and physical exercises. Yoga, focusing on physical and psychological nature, is an obvious physical and psychological interaction. It can balance the body's nervous system and the endocrine system, thus to affect other systems of the human body, and to achieve an overall balance. Yoga training can significantly release the anxiety of practitioners, ease the tension, which is due to competition in life, and relieve the frustration arising from the work and the life. That is of great significance for regulating mental balance and keeping healthy.In this research, undergraduate women are chosen as the objects. The height, weight, vital capacity, trunk bending forwards in sitting position, three-minute step test and standing long jump are chosen as physical test index. The attention stability, attention diversion and the physical training resulsive mood are chosen as mental test index. Seven questions are included in this research.This study is intended for female college students'fitness, physiological characteristics and mental health status. It selects yoga, which is the fusion of the dance, gymnastics, Tai Chi, and other fitness philosophy, as a training content. It has analysed and studied Teaching effect of Yoga exercises on improving students'physical fitness and psychological qualities. It has studied the positive role of Yoga projects in health promotion, temperament cultivation, self-cultivation, regulating the physical and mental health. It has put forward some constructive suggestions on yoga courses in the future developent in universities.This article uses experimental method, questionnaire method, data processing and logic analysis research, to explore the effect of Yoga exercise on female students in physical and mental health. Research shows that: 1. Physical quality:1) In addition to body weight, the test indicators of physical fitness before and after the yoga training are apparently different.2) After the experiment, there are distinctive differneces in flexility project scores between the students in yoga class and in control class.3) In terms of vital capacity, there is an extreme difference between yoga class and basketball class. And there are also differences between yoga class and table tennis class and tennis class. 4) In terms of endurance, there is significant difference between yoga class and aerobic class. There is also a difference between yoga class and tennis class.5) Yoga class have distinctive differences from table tennis class and tennis class in speed and strength.2. Mental quality:1) Compared with Yoga class themselves, the test indicators have significant differences in attention diversion, and physical and mental calm after the experiment, which shows that Yoga training has obvious effects; Significant differences exist in attention stability and actively devotion after the experiment.2) Compared with the control class, yoga class have distinctive results in the test of physical and mental calm. The training makes obvious differences.3) Compared with table tennis class and martial arts class, yoga class have difference in attention diversion after the training. 4) Compared with aerobic class, yoga class have a dramatic difference in attention diversion after the experiment.5) Compared with basketball class, yoga class have significant differences in attention stability and attention diversion after the experiment.
