Head teachers is an important part in Primary and secondary schools who take on significant responsibility of class management and student education and is an indispensable external influence in students'growth process. As a special group of teachers, their enthusiasm, hard work and endeavor are the basis and guarantee of a smooth implementation of various educational programs.Therefore, this paper attempts to apply the full motivation theory to samples from 5 primary and secondary schools in SJ District so as to figure out the differences in satisfaction between different groups of head teachers. This paper also intends to find out similarities and differences in incentive strategies fit for head teachers and ordinary teacher so as to work out the way to perfect the present incentive strategies applied to head teachers in primary and secondary schools in SJ District. The research reveals that:problems exist in incentive levels, factors and process.In this thesis, literature, interviews, questionnaires are used as the main research methods. Based on empirical study, this paper arrives the result that the main problem with incentive strategy are incentive factors, incentive system and head teachers themselves. In addition, this paper gives some suggestions to improve the incentive system. Firstly, the establishment of a multi-level incentive system to improve the present one; secondly, the establishment of a rich incentive system so as to enhance its performance; thirdly, the establishment of a self-realization incentive model to perfect the incentive process.Due to my limited experience and capacity, research on primary and secondary head teacher incentives still need to be improved in many aspects, such as the limitations of research data selection, rationality of questionnaire design. In-depth study is required in the following teaching and working process.
