Research On The Project Method In Vocational Education

At present, middle vocational schools and high vocational colleges are attempting to teaching reform and project method is applied in various major. However, due to lack of proper method guidance, numerous teachers in vocational schools encounter troubles in the practice of project method. This study which is based on the requirement of teachers in vocational schools has utilized several research methods such as literature research, interviews, observation etc. to investigate the status of project-based learning reform and the problems of teachers. Based on their experience, a practice framework of project-based learning is designed in this study. Several key elements, which have important impact on teaching, will be extracted, and its'cautions and concrete measures in teaching will be fully discussed. This research includes seven parts:Chapter 1 is the Exordium, which mainly includes the importance of this research, background analyzing, the current status, research content, research methods and meaning of the research. In Chapter 2, the derivation and theoretical foundation of the method are mainly discussed, the concept of "project" and "project method" is defined, and its'typical implementation process is designed in accordance with its'basic philosophy.The appropriate way to implement for key factors,which are important parts of the project method and have important implications for its implementation,is designed in Chapter 3,4,5 and 6. These key factors involved in the following areas:How to present and analyze the project for students? How to teach in groups? Which way is appropriate to teach knowledge? How to display the results and evaluate the whole process for the project method?The instruction result has summarized in Chapter 7. It also pointed out that several weakness of this research is exist in present, and reconsideration to this research is carried on.
