In the context of the new high school curriculum reform, Standard secondary school geography courses(experiment), which was issued in April.2003, is divided into two parts---compulsory courses and elective courses. According to the new national curriculum standards, each province has developed different implementation plan of geography elective curriculum. As the highlight of the curriculum, elective courses has gradually become the issues of concern in the geography teaching. In order to understand the actual implementation of each school, the writer made a questionnaire survey of the geography teachers, which come form Hunan Province, Zhejiang Province, Henan Province and so on. The writer found there is a large "gap" between the ideal and actual implementation of the elective course, which not only exists between province and the countries, but also between schools and provinces. This paper based on the problem and difficulties of the geography elective module implementation, we explore the method of effective course implementation, and try to through the college Entrance Examination analysis in recent years to establish a scientific operation system in order to provide guidance and reference for the provinces which have implemented the new curriculum.The whole passage includes three parts:introduction, body and conclusion, and the body consists of four chapters.Introduction:Stating the origin of the topics and the ideas of the geography elective modules and the significance of the implementation of elective courses, analyzing the current research in this field and showing the research and ideas of this paper.Chapters one:according to the national geographic new curriculum standards, the writer compare and analyze the program of the elective module implementation in different provinces. And finally explore the biggest restraint factor—which influence the geography elective module implementation in the different school through the methods of the questionnaire survey.Chapters two:the circumstance of linking up between National College Entrance Examination and geography elective modules. Continued from the preceding paragraph, the writer compare and analysis college entrance examination program of each province, and Use the method of classification analysis to study college entrance examination geographic Elective course and the general outline for the geography examination.Chapter three:College entrance examination Test analysis of college entrance examination involving the geographic elective module. The writer makes a profound analysis on the principles and feature of the geography elective module paper and try to provide several methods for elective module test in the light of the ideas of the geography elective module and concrete conditions in order to provide reference and guidance for the other provinces.Chapter four:Constructing the whole implement scheme of the senior high school geographic elective module. Through making a thorough inquiry difficulties among the geographic elective module implementation and Negative impact of the college entrance examination, the writer try to provide two Schemes formulated for reference, One is the ideal mode, the other is based on the current situation, which gives some proposals and countermeasures concerning implement measures, teaching evaluation and college entrance examination program. It also discusses some relevant measures on how to implement senior high school elective courses better.Conclusion:It summarizes the basic conclusions, and points out the existing inadequacy and future research directions of this paper.
