| The research on the professional development of the monitoring teacher in a class has gradually attracted people's attention as the ones on the teachers going, and this paper dealt with the issue from the perspective of the regional support. Firstly, this paper discussed theoretically the relationship between the professional development of the monitoring teachers and the regional support based on the sense that they need and promote each other:the professional development of the monitoring teachers is contained in the development of the regional education, which should,need and is possible to support it; According to the content and characteristics of the development of the monitoring teachers, the region can provide it with the objectives,chances,evaluation and organizations.Secondly, this paper went more deeply by looking into the opinions of the monitoring teachers so as to get the reality of the support. The survey shows that overall the quantities of the training are limited for the monitoring teachers taking part into the regional activities, and the chances are not the same to all the teachers in a school. The main forms of the activities are training and selection (including the selection of the outstanding monitoring teachers and the excellent papers), which are centralized too much and prefer the outcomes to the process. Most of the monitoring teachers recognized the effect of the regional support. The recognition of the knowledge and skill is higher than the self-recognition and the self-promotion. Specifically speaking, the monitoring teachers can get the aims which are set by the region office, but they are not sure about them; They admit that the activities provided to learn and communicate did work, and their content and object can be more differentiation; More attention should be paid to the evaluation of the process and the self-distinguish. There should be a professional organization leading the monitoring teachers and hopefully, the regional policy can make a definition of the workload that the monitoring teachers should have.Thirdly, this paper suggested what the regional supports should contain are as follows:Provide the content system which should include the objectives,chances,evaluation and organization for the teachers; Take the development of the monitoring teachers as the main aim of the regional support, concentrate the professional power in a region and optimize the structure of the support. |
