Higher vocational education in China is booming now. However, many colleges attach great importance to technique or skill education other than morality, which may result to a lacking of such quality as honesty, responsibility, sense of teamwork and creativity. Therefore,the graduates only with relevant knowledge and skill but absent in social morality and responsibility will not meet the requirements of society and vocation. Enhancing the humanistic quality of the students is both inevitable and necessary to enable them to follow the readjustment of industrial structure in China and meet the needs of vocation. To adapt the modern economic development, moral education, humanistic knowledge and spirit are to be brought in teaching so that new human beings are trained for vocation with high competitiveness and quality.Through basic understanding and questionnaire on current situation of humanistic quality education in vocational colleges in Hebei, this paper describes the situation, problems existing and their reasons of humanistic quality education in vocational colleges in Hebei. The result of questionnaire shows that the students in vocational colleges have subjectively desires to enhance their humanistic quality and express their support to open relevant courses while the school education can not satisfy such requirement and hinder the development of humanistic education caused by the contradiction in the hazy idea of school, rapidly available in vocational education and latent achievement of moral education. Based on the abovementioned, the writer believes that humanistic quality education should be closely combined with the social and vocational role the students may play in the future and different kinds of school should contain different moral education in"vocational mode", characterized by different content and connotation. It is a vocation-oriented education to help the students form a vocational quality and spirit concerned with their vocations.To solve the said problems, the following 3 measures can be taken to improve the humanistic quality education in higher vocational colleges in Hebei: Firstly, establish an ideal of education to be skill training and moral education together, enhance the overall humanistic quality of all the teaching staff and thus strengthen the faculty force in general. Secondly, rationally set up the humanistic courses system, lay equal stress on both moral education and skill training and ensure the hours for humanistic courses; such courses may be arranged or integrated in vocation-oriented according to the features of each school, training aim of each major, relevant requirements for the vocation in the future. Thirdly, try to improve the humanistic environment, such as growing humanistic education into major courses, building up scenery of humanities and humanistic educational atmosphere, develop campus cultural activities in vocation-oriented. Through those elaborate and durative influences, promote the humanistic quality of all students in vocational colleges.
