Reading teaching focuses on cultivating students'abilities of experiencing, understanding, appreciating and evaluating, and the effective way to achieve it is to teach reading in Chinese with the help of Annotations. Chinese teaching adapts the traditional RTCHA method, which enables students to accomplish the reading completely and fully reflects the student-centered philosophy that is addressed by new curriculum.This paper mainly investigates several aspects of RTCHA in junior Chinese, including the connotation, theoretical foundation and the specific implementation method. The thesis also describes the methods to make annotations in detail in order to provide some references for reading teaching.The thesis is composed of four sections: The first section is the connotation and basis of RTCHA, which consists of the contents of reading, reading teaching, teaching method, reading with the help of annotations and RTCHA, as well as reveals the theoretical basis of RTCHA from the aspects of ancient Chinese literary theories, constructivism, aesthetics of reception and dialogue theory. The second section is the current situation and the significance of RTCHA,which is demonstrated from the aspects of highlighting the subject status, promoting reading and writing, cultivating problematic consciousness and achieving multilateral dialogue.The third section is the preparation of RTCHA in junior Chinese.The fourth section is the procedure of RTCHA in junior Chinese .And the study is conducted through three stages, namely, preparation that teachers and students annotate the text with comments by themselves before class, implementation that teachers and students share their comments in class, self-examination that teachers and students improve their comments after class.
