To promote social development, we should cultivate all kinds of talents in all levels:In the mcanwhile, in order to develop, education needs to be reformed constantly to meet the changing needs of society and human. We could find the advantages and disadvantages of education through comparative study of the West and East. By comparing the west and the east in education, we could learn about the merits and demerits of ourselves which can help us in developing. As far as we concerned, curriculum is the most basic clement in education. It seems more and more important to compare the curriculum theory between the East and West. The main organization of this thesis is as follows:In the first chapter, we intend to enumerate the study method, research ideas and the background. The second chapter, we shall describe the theory of curriculum and the cur-rent situation of curriculum reform. In addition, we plan to make a comparative study about the characteristics of mathematical curriculum reform in two coun-tries in terms of history. In the third chapter, we are gonging to make a comparative study about types of senior high schools, math course offering in the two countries. Moreover, many typical cases ought to be cited. In the forth part, course evaluation system of these two countries will be com-pared, including a summary of the theory about curriculum evaluation, changes of curriculum evaluation system, the comparison on the mathematical examination system, and the comparative analysis of mathematical examination papers. Finally, suggestions about the math course offering and evaluation system are made. First, we'd better gradually realize the integration of academic and vocational courses. Second, teachers should try to develop innovative mathe-matics programs in the angle of the mathematical history and culture. Third, we should carry out mathematical modeling activity while teaching. Besides, self-enrollment should be enlarged and college admission standards should be ex-panded. At last we need to put developmental evaluation into effect actually based on human centered spirit.
