Since the reform and opening up to the outside world, the vocational education of Hunan minority regions has seen rapid development, but also faced many predicaments. So, it is realistically important for promoting the social and the economic development to study the measures of developing the vocational education in Hunan minority regions.Applying theories of vocational education and adopting investigation methods, cultural heritage methods, etc, this paper analyzes systematically the current new development and the major problems of the vocational education in Hunan minority regions and solutions of the problems. The full paper is divided into five parts totally:The first part discusses the background, the significance, the circumstance and the research object, and the methods of this paper on the basis of defining the terms of vocation, the vocational education and minority, the minority education .The second part, on the foundation of introducing Hunan geographical characteristics and its population distribution, analyzes in detail the social and the economic development of Hunan minority regions so as to keep abreast of Hunan minority regions.The third part discusses briefly the current new achievements of developing the vocational education in Hunan minority regions, such as the greatly intreased significance of the vocational education, the improved mechanism of development, its increasingly rich content, the various modes of running schools, and so on.The fourth part discusses mainly of the poor natural conditions, lag-behind ideas, insufficient fund, stiff management mechanism, and the great shortage of teaching personnel, etc, which lead to the weak economic foundation, weak social environment, the stiff running schools modes, unreasonable educational resources distribution and courses'offering, and result in the facts that the vocational systems are neglected and teaching quality falls behind, etc, so as to provide actual basis for making scientific policies concerning the vocational education of developing Hunan minority regions.The fifth part, in view of the vocational education's problems of Hunan minority regions, studies the solutions of these problems from the aspects of idea, legality, system, qualification of employment, offering of courses, and the development of teaching personnel, etc, so as to set up a perfect theoretical system, to promot the whole harmonious social development and the mutual economic prosperity of minority regions.
