Purpose Post-exercise hypotension refers to resting blood pressure steadily reduce after a single acute exercise. Its plays an important role for prevention and treatment hypertension. This study to swimming as exercise mode, observe post-exercise hypotension after swimming and observation 8 weeks aerobic exercise impact on post-exercise hypotension, and through the index measures discussed post-exercise hypotension possible mechanism. Methods This study bases on 8 weeks aerobic exercise before and after to 15 normontensive and not sport-specific male college students undertakes twice 600 meters breaststroke testing, through determination to blood pressure, heart rate, hematocrit, observe post-exercise hypotension and possible mechanism. Through 8 weeks aerobic exercise before and after resting determination nitric oxide and endothelin levels, and observe both influence on post-exercise hypotension. Results Before 8 weeks the baseline 600 meters testing, systolic blood pressure after 1 hour measuring time drop about 12 mmHg, diastolic blood pressure without obviously change, heart rate declined, but compare with resting still higher than 20 times per points; after 8 weeks 600 meters testing, systolic blood pressure after 1 hour measuring time drop about 10 mmHg, diastolic blood pressure have tiny drops changes (about 0.8 mmHg), heart rate declined, but compare with resting still higher than 16 times per points; For 8 weeks aerobic exercise before and after determination resting nitric oxide and endothelin levels, both have different degree of increased, whereas endothelin rise more significantly (P<0.01); Twice 600 meters breaststroke testing at different time points to measured hematocrit, both have small range after exercise (P>0.05),Conclusion 60%-70% HRR intensity 600 meters breaststroke have drawn post-exercise hypotension. With systolic blood pressure reduce is more significant(about10-12mmHg), diastolic blood pressure changes small (about 0.8mmHg), heart rate has not yet returned to resting (about higher 16-20 b/min);Through 8 weeks aerobic exercise, nitric oxide and endothelin levels are increased, but did not found both have influence on post-exercise hypotension; Before and after 600 meters breaststroke test at different time points measured to hematocrit, and did not found significantly change, therefore plasma volume may not participant in post-exercise hypotension; after 60-70% HRR intensity 8 weeks aerobic exercise, to complete the same intensity 600 meters test that the body to produce function save the reaction, showed improve 600 meters breaststroke test scores and reduce the movement frequency and to post-exercise hypotension have adaptability change.
