The current elementary education reform has proposed explicitly the implementation of curriculum must be advantageous to the transformation of the way of student studies, must be advantageous to the renewal of teachers'teaching idea. It is important to promote flexible use of a variety of teaching tools and methods to improve student awareness of innovation and practical ability. The most important characters of problem teaching are to activate the students'initiative and positivity, guide students to take the initiative to acquire, explore the knowledge and thinking, improve the historical thinking skills, so that students can learn how to learn. In the current historical teaching in secondary schools, although takes the problem the importance, the understanding of the problem teaching have many bias. Some history teachers think the problem teaching is by the way, which inquires organizing the course content and gaining the answer. In fact, the problem teaching is a comprehensive education model, which involves the theory, strategies and the function and other issues. Clarified these aspects of the problem teaching, is helpful to the correct implementation of apolitical nature problem teaching. Thus, the change tradition educational model pours into the vigor for the historical education.This paper particularly starts from the relation of problem teaching for history and cultivation of good thinking ability. The first chapter describes the definition of the problem of teaching; theory, basic principles. The second chapter describes the necessity of using the problem teaching. The third chapter elaborates the strategy of the problem teaching. The fourth chapter elaborates the problem teaching can cultivate the thinking ability of students. The author mainly carried out with teaching practice to explore the how history teaching problem cultivate the thinking ability, hopping for providing the practical and operational experience for the middle school history teaching.
