Now, research on effective teaching is very active in China. Many theorists and forefront stuffs have made explorations and practices in it with varying degrees. Many teachers also have attached importance to the study of effective teaching of composition.These studies deal with the "ineffectiveness" in composition teaching and probe into the inherent causes, but fail to present an integrated and effective solutionto it. Compared against the requirements in New Curriculum Standard for composition teaching, the composition teaching in junior high schools in the region where the author has been has still been inefficient and unordered, which has held back students'level in composition writing.Therefore, the conduction of theoretical research and exploration in highly-effective teaching of composition is particularly significant based on the theoretical study of effective composition teaching.The present paper explored the strategy and effective approach toward composition teaching in junior high schools under the new curriculum concept, e.g. the relation between class writing and extracurricular writing; the relation between reading teaching and writing teaching; how to broader an narrow writing space; how to establish scientific, systematic system in composition writing skill teaching.Meanwhile, combining the current status of composition teaching in junior high schools under the new curriculum, the present paper offered "effective" new ideas on composition teaching which embodies in:the effectiveness of composition guiding strategies; the effectiveness of composition teaching in class; the effectiveness of composition evaluation method; how to set up new platform for composition teaching.Under the guidance of the new curriculum concept, the study of "the effectiveness in junior high school composition (teaching) under the new curriculum concept" contributed to the solution of a range of issues in current composition teaching. Based on the current status of composition teaching in Zhongshan, the present study made investigations which will contribute to the development of the composition teaching for the entire region, the improvement of the quality in composition teaching, the promotion of the composition teaching concept as well as the enhancement of the students'level in composition writing. The present study has certain practical significance and promotional value.
