The thesis is based on investigation towards teachers and students in Huanggang High School. From some aspects, such as the students' attitude,methods and habits, the teachers' teaching mode, style and pattern, the thesis aims to find out problems existing in the course of teaching Classical Chinese in Grade One in senior middle school. According to the statistical result of the data provided by the questionnaire, the paper summarize some common problems.There exist many problems, when students study Classical Chinese, such as one-sided learing goal, lack of interst, weak in willpower, lack in good study habits and skills, putting emphasis on the reference materials but contempt for dicitonary or additional reading,and so on. On top of that, the junior middle school education is out of contact with the senior middle school, students lack in knowledge reserve and ability reserve. For some of the teachers, they don't make good use of the time in class, and haven't a manoeuvrable teching course.In the class, there isn't enough interaction between teacher and students.What's more,they don't teach target-oriented skill to the students in class. High expectations and demands are placed on teachers and students,which is an important problem too.Appropriate measures addressing the above-mentioned problems have to be taken. For students, they have to reserve knowledge and get themselves psyched up for the studying of classical language of the high school. Students have to exert the principal role, appeal to teachers' interest instead of misleading, develop and dig out good studying habits,and so on. For teachers, a good job should be done in the preparatory work for new intake of students. At the same time, they have to pay attention to the pollution control zone of the teching, improve the quality and professionalism of themselves, straighten out the relationship with the trainees,and so on.Above-mentioned prolems are universal and peculiar, the countermeasures can be used for education by other techers and students.The society, school, family have to make greater efforts if these problems to be solved.
