With the development of economic society, the demand of applied and skilled talents is increasing, the vocational education in China has made considerable progress. However, the higher vocational education in China is in a further exploration stage since there are still a lot of problems that have to be solved. For example: vocational education in China has not been carried out for a long time; it doesn't fully formed the team of teachers adapted to the need of vocational education yet, there is lack of awareness of higher vocational education; the overall structure is not reasonable and practical ability is still weak and so on. With the emergence and exploration of"industry-university-research cooperation mechanism", we found that such a research mechanism is not only a basic way to foster qualified people that can meet the demand of market, but also an important platform for vocational education teachers to meet the requirements of the times.This thesis mainly focuses on the content of teacher cultivation models of some vocational colleges in Shanxi province as the study, the data are collected through some empirical methods such as reviewed literature, designed questionnaires, surveyed and carried out interviews. Altogether it has been handed out 800 questionnaires and 789 of them are valid. Besides, according to the interviews with some college teachers and the related leaders, some problems exist in the system of vocational college teaching. Generally speaking, the qualities and the quantities of both full-time and part-time teachers need to be improved, the cultivation structure is not reasonable and the system of training should be further perfect. Furthermore, the objectives of cultivation are not well defined and changeable, the training courses are not professional, the teaching philosophy is out of date and the models of cultivation are unscientific and so on. And the thesis analysis the reasons are the start of higher vocational education in Shanxi is late, ignoring the study of comprehensive ability of teachers, emphasizing theoretically but neglecting practically, lacking of channels and agencies of training, the mechanism of management and supervision is unsound and inflexible. Thus on the basis of the guiding ideology of"the concept to the pilot, the mechanism is the core, the system is the security", it makes a study of some important issues facing vocational college, such as"separate development", the cultivation model of"dual qualified teacher", and"diversity training", to propose some specific approaches, under the mechanism of industry-university–research, establishing an incentive mechanism, the colleges deepen the cooperation with industry, make the introductions and cultivations of talent, enhancing the rational flows and sharing of teachers'resources, and finally aims to build a stable, applied, skilled, high-level team of full-time and part time teachers. The study tries to cultivate the teachers to meet with the needs of economic and social development for higher vocational education in Shanxi.
