Nowadays human beings step into the 21st century, there followed the accelerative globalization, fierce international competition and close International cooperation, the more important thing is the International problem that demanding prompt solution. To meet this trend of times, major countries around the world increasingly concerned about the history of other countries in history education reform. People must stand on the world level to deal with future national and global development issues.In recent years, an unique function in history course that trains students"International consciousness"wins people's high favor, and is valued by foreign countries history education in history teaching of secondary schools. The future students in history teaching establish what kind of emotions, attitudes and values face to our country and the world, and gradually become an important issue of the new countries curriculum reform.This article carries out a great deal of studies about"International consciousness"popularized in history teaching of national secondary school and in USA. By contrast in teaching objectives, teaching content and teaching methods of history teaching about history teaching in China and USA, expounds the content of International consciousness, and exploits the similarities and differences of"International consciousness"and China's weaknesses. Striving to learn experiences from the united state that has"International consciousness"education foundation, we can better penetrate"International consciousness"in history teaching of our country.The history education in 21century shoulders heavy responsibilities such as citizens self-recognition, love of country, and the task to create a better world! In 1990's, Comrade Deng Xiaoping proposed the"Education for the modernization, the world and the future."This article uphold this great educational thought, the final purpose is: Training the students to become the new century talents which has the essence of Chinese culture, love the motherland, broad-minded, open vision, competitive, creative and more International consciousness and global vision.
