In The Republican Period Guangxi Yao School Education Studies

The period of the Republic of China refers to the time from 1912 when the provisional government of the Republic of China was founded to 1949 when the People's Republic of China was establised. During this period ,national school education caused great attention of the Kwangsi Warlord group.The school educational scheme was faced with transformation period from the old to the new history and featured with lots of historical imprints. The old Kwangxi paid more attention to overseas students'education while the new laid more stress on national school education.This article,by investigating,arranging and analysing, thinks no matter which period the education is in, it is for the same political purpose ---it serves the upper political ruling and it also contains autocratic colors. The positive aspects are following: these two warlords both conformed to the trends of the times and attached importance to women's education and primary compulsory education. Through the research,they realized that education foundation was weak in national regions and hoped to strengthen the support of national regions school and helped this area to develop nation school education better and faster. This article first difines the implication of the Yao nationality ,and then investigates the process which the Yao nationality school education carried out. And it analyzes the reasons for its implementing the national school education during the Republic of China. It also analyses features and characteristic of the Yao school education and summmerizes the its disadvantages and then puts forward the thinking that the Yao nationality education in this period brings us.
