| In 2001, a new round of mathematics curriculum reform in the phase of compulsory education has been launched roundly in China. With the implementation of the mathematics new curriculum, the effect of the implementation in rural areas has been paid more and more attention. To promote the students' development is the starting point and the basic goal of the reform in mathematics curriculum and also provides the important reference for testing the effect of carrying out the reform of the mathematics new curriculum.This thesis mainly uses the methods of survey, test, interview , classroom observation on the mathematics teachers and students in three rural junior middle schools in Bin Zhou, Shandong province as survey objects,and on five mathematics teachers and five students'parents as interview objiects,and on the five teachers as observation objects.The thesis investigates the present situation of rural students'development from Grade 7 to 9 after the implementation of the mathematics new curriculum during compulsory education deeply ,and also the influencing factors.First of all, on the basis of defining the concepts of curriculums, the students'development and so on, this paper systemizes the development of the students in and out of our country as well as related literature in researching the new round of mathematics curriculum implementation during the basic education. It is found that although there are abundant researching fruits about mathematics new curriculum, the researches in its effect of implementation are just a few. Especially the researches in students are still mainly on students'learning. There are just a few studies on the topic of promoting the students'development by the mathematics new curriculum. In the idea of research, the effect of implementing the mathematics new curriculum is mostly measured by if it meets the ideas of the curriculum reform and the standards of the curriculum, but not by the students' development. Although the research is about the students during carrying out the new curriculum, it just researches if students adapt to the new curriculum, rather than how the mathematics new curriculum can promote students' development mostly.Secondly, combining with the results of investigation, test, interview and observation, the paper analyses the students'present situation who are from grade 7 to 9 in rural middle school: these students'development in mastering"process and method"in mathematics is all right. But their development in"knowledge and skill"is common ,and in"the attitudes of emotions and values"lags behind .Besides, students'abilities of logical reasoning and operation are poor. Aiming at the present situation of the rural student's development, the main factors of influencing the implementation in the mathematics new curriculum are as following: after analyzing the curriculum standards, teachers, teaching materials, the ways of evaluating learning and the environment of support, there are factors that is bad for students'development existing in the mathematics curriculum standards in compulsory education, mathematics teachers, new mathematics teaching materials, the ways of evaluating learning and the environment of support the implementation of mathematics curriculum.Finally, according to the reasons affecting the students'development during carrying out the mathematics new curriculum which are from grade 7 to 9 in rural middle school, the paper puts forward five suggestions: (1) to revise the standards of the mathematics curriculum in the full-time compulsory education (in test); (2) to develop the mathematics teaching materials which meet the rural students'characteristics; (3) to research deeply and establish the system of evaluation which are favor of students'development and strongly operational; (4) to improve rural mathematics teachers' quality and realize their professional development as soon as possible; (5) to make a good job of the school-based educational research in mathematical subject. |
