The school culture is one of the hottest topics in academic education issues. It is also a valuable subject for common school to research and practice. As is known to all, the school culture plays an important role for the development of school, students and teachers. Nowadays, Life Education, Quality Education and Individualized Education are all heat waves in the education domain, having great influence on school culture. Nevertheless, there is little change in school practice. Most of the schools are still based on examination and study-oriented teaching, ignoring students' quality of life and individual's character development. This phenomenon is serious. There also exists the phenomenon of alienation of students' life-span development. On one hand, it is influenced by the traditional education of China. On the other hand, modem school education, under the guidance of instrumentalism, which ignores the essential pursuit of education. Schools have no attention on setting up life development-oriented school culture. Therefore, diagnosing school culture whether includes life thoughts or not is having the main effect on constructing life-emphasized school culture.In this situation, the subject of diagnosing school culture from the perspective of life philosophy is studied and discussed in this research. In the view of life-span, the thesis, based on analysis of characters of school culture, and trying to analysis the contents of school culture diagnosis and design the instrument and questionnaire of school-culture-diagnosis.The whole article includes five parts:The first part raised the question, defined the core concepts, such as life philosophy, school culture, school-culture-diagnosis, and reviewed the literatures home and abroad.The Second part explained "life philosophy", which analyzed the features of out-dated school culture, and explored the characteristics of school culture in the view of life philosophy: humanity of school material culture, humanism of school institutional culture, vital signs of school spirit culture.On the basis of principles of school-culture-diagnosis, the third part rendered the contents of school-culture-diagnosis under the perspective of life philosophy: diagnosing the degree of life thought embodied in school culture and the type of school culture. It also tested and analyzed the reliability and validity of the instrument and questionnaire.The fourth part, as two Ningbo's middle schools for example, diagnosing the two schools' culture by questionnaire and interview. Through the statistical data, we found the problems of A and B schools' culture, and suggested some proposals. The last part, according to the outcomes, we presented a strategy on school culture construction which is from the perspective of life philosophy.
