In 21st century, the construction and development of culture and education has become the major determinant of economic development and technical innovation."Man"is the core of culture and education, and the cultivating and building of"Man"is crucial in this century. So pursuing the modernity of"Man"is our perpetual ambition. Lu Xun, in his literature, clearly criticized and sublated citizens' bad quality, affectionately called the friendship and sincerity of mankind, profoundly showed his sympathy and care to the working people, and beautifully expected people's modernization. His thought is man-development, and he called the friendship and sincerity between everyone all his life. Even in socialistic modernization process of modern China, Lu Xun and his works are still full of charm and luster. To give growing children Lu Xun enlightenment teaching, it needs to insist on the unified principle of psychological development and language learning, keep on cultivating their esthetic emotion and language skills. We expect that children consciously accept Lu Xun's thought and spirit, develop their own sound personality and independency. In that case, it provides the foundation for the modernization of"Man".This paper consists of five parts.First, the preface discusses the background, aim, significance and basic method of the paper. It also defines the essential concepts. Then the first chapter analyses different backgrounds and documents of education in different periods and talk about those Lu Xun's works in Chinese textbooks for primary school.The second chapter mainly discusses the characteristic of Lu Xun enlightenment teaching for primary school in the context under the new curriculum reform in China. The content includes the reading of New "Course Standard" and"Language Program of instruction"for primary school; the significance, teaching aim and methods of the unit of"knowing Lu Xun"; and the current situation of Lu Xun enlightenment teaching.The third chapter talks over Lu Xun enlightenment teaching under children's growth view, which includes that children grow with friendship and sincerity, and Lu Xun's thought of"Man"is the resource of children's growth.The fourth chapter discusses the essential ideas of Lu Xun enlightenment teaching. That is the unified principles of esthetic emotion and language skills, and of psychological development and language learning. At last, on the basis of analyzing some typical cases, the author attempts to design the teaching plan of the text"The Juvenile Run Tu".
