Historical biography works of Classical Chinese is an important content of Chinese teaching in Senior high school, which has double characteristics of literature and history and its function of education can not be ignored. Students can not only inherit the outstanding traditional culture critically, but can also improve the aesthetic ability and literary appreciation ability by learning historical biography works of classical Chinese,what’s more, it can edify sentiment, raise the students’ moral cultivation. However, the author finds that the teaching of historical biography works of classical Chinese encounters a number of similar problems with the other classical Chinese through investigation, in addition, it also produces some teaching problems because of the difference with the other classical Chinese. This paper tries to make some shallow research on such problems.It consists of four parts:The first part, it elaborates the research background and research significance of this topic. It combs the research current situation and recommends the theoretical framework and research methods, the innovation of the research.The second part, firstly it clarifies the concept on historical biography works of classical Chinese, and expounds the features of historical science and literature, thus lay a solid foundation for the research of this paper. Then, the author analyzes the value and status of historical biography works of classical Chinese of Chinese teaching in Senior high school and clears the necessity of research in the teaching historical biography works of classical Chinese.The third part, it uses the method of survey questionnaire for the students of the 40 th senior high school in Guiyang, then make a data statistics the data and do the analysis of the results.The fact is that the following problems do exist in the teaching of historical biography works of classical Chinese in senior high school. First, as for teaching contents, the teachers pay more attention on the instrumental and ignore the humanistic. Second, the teachers lack diversity on teaching methods. Third, the students lack the initiative when they study. At last, the utilitarianism views of teachers and students. At the same time, it analyses these problems systematically and concludes the following reasons: the particularity of historical biography works of classical Chinese; the limitations of teachers’ professional accomplishment; the deficiency of students’ learning motivation; the single method of Classroom assessment mode.The fourth part, it elaborates the effective path to the teaching historical biography works of classical Chinese in senior high school. According to the requirements of the senior high school Chinese course standard, it puts forward the corresponding countermeasures in view of problems of the teaching historical biography works of classical Chinese in senior high school through the characteristics of historical biography works of classical Chinese. It promotes the unity of instrument and humanism on historical biography works as a teaching method; and improves teachers’ professional accomplishment, it stimulates the students’ motivation of learning the historical biography works and implements a variety of classroom assessment modes.
