Education served as a method on talent cultivation from Qin Dynasty. And Mother tongue education was regarded as a basic subject of education, of which teaching material contribute a lot to talent cultivation. There were many talent cultivation elements in the times between Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China during which there were two books called Anthologies of Classical Chinese Prose and The 100 Works in Chinese Textbook which were treated as Chinese teaching material at that time. This article tried to find out the differences between the two books, and wanted to discover the factors which lead to the differences. So that it can be applied to talent cultivation on Chinese education in reality. Combining the two book called as Anthologies of Classical Chinese Prose and The 100 Works in Chinese Textbook and take their content as an example to search the talent cultivation means. This thesis is divided into five parts:The introduction put forward the problem. It introduces the research status of Chinese teaching material. The first chapter begins with the different characters of Anthologies of Classical Chinese Prose and The 100 Works in Chinese Textbook. The second chapter analyzes the reasons of the different characters of the two books. The third chapter discusses the enlightenment on making sure Chinese content of courses nowadays based on the first chapter. The fourth chapter discusses the enlightenment on Chinese teaching methods nowadays based on first two chapters.
