As one of three modes of the rural primary and middle school modern distance education, disc mode plays an important role in improving the quality and effect of rural education because of its features such as the low cost, the short cycle, the quick and good effect, especially in border poor area. Instructional application is the core of achieving the effectiveness of modern distance education in the rural primary and middle school. In the process of disc instruction, there are still some questions such as how to utilize limited disc resource, how to choose a suitable disc teaching mode and how to connect the disc resource with disciplines effectively.This paper takes the disc instructional application mode in the rural primary and middle school modern distance education project as the subject. It concretely focuses on the choice and application of instruction mode of simulated dialogue, instruction mode of contextual interaction and instruction mode of resource integration applied in four courses: Chinese, Moral character and living, Science and Art.Action investigation and observation are the main methods in the present study. Besides, documentary and interview methods are used to collect information. This study illustrates the application of disc instructional mode from these aspects such as instructional design, instructional organization execution and instructional reflection evaluation to discuss disc instructional mode application executing situation, and create instructional cases under different application modes. The cases presented in this paper are all based on parlier stage instructional design and two action investigations, and with the reflection and revision of previous. In order to make these cases have more popularizing meaning, this study analyzes these cases presented under every mode systematically and overall, and discusses the reflections on the applications of disc instructional mode itself.This study finds that the principle elements of disc instructional application mode are teachers, students, teaching materials and disc resources. These elements play different roles in different teaching modes. In order to carry out instruction activities of simulated dialogues, it needs to organize the interaction between the teachers and students in TV and class. It is not only to simulate dialogues, but also to develop and innovate connecting with the practical facts. It is the key of how to choose and manufacture disc when applying the mode of contextual interaction. Only realizing the cooperation between the displaying content of disc and the teachers'explanation, and increasing the interaction between person and machines, teachers and students, students and students properly, the traditional classroom teaching mode can be changed. Resource integration instruction mode has high requirements on teachers'teaching skill and information attainment. The choice of this mode is suitable to teachers'personal teaching requirements.In addition, in the process of analyzing these cases, this study finds the choices of the disc instruction application mode are not lumped together. We can't absolute the disc instructional application mode or be limited by the disc instructional application mode itself. In order to realize the effectiveness of disc instruction mode completely, it should be utilized every element in the process of teaching on time and space and establish the relation between classroom and disc instruction effectively.
