The society has new standards about the talents in the 21st century, which is a challenge to the school education. With the development of quality education in the primary school and the middle school, the teaching reform has gone deep into the national curriculum, the local curriculum and the School-Based Curriculum. As an important part of teaching reform, School-Based Curriculum should generally enhance the overall quality of students and promote the development of their personality. Now, although the teaching reform about the School-Based Curriculum has made some achievements, there are still some problems to be solved. As a teaching approach, Project Based Learning is different from traditional teaching methods. And many experts have got fruitful results both home and abroad. At the same time, it has a potentiality to reform and develop the School-Based Curriculum. Therefore, this study attempts to introduce Project Based Learning into the School-Based Curriculum for teaching reform.In this paper, firstly, a series of existing problems related to teaching in the School-Based Curriculum are presented. Secondly, the concept, characteristics and research status about Project Based Learning are analyzed. Finally, the value of Project-Based Learning applyed to the teaching of School-Based Curriculum is discussed. On this basis, a practical program has been designed. In this experimental teaching, the fifth-grade students of Ning Zhen Road Primary School in Ning Bo are my research object, and the School-Based Curriculum is my basic research content. The experiment is carried out both in the real environment and in the virtual environment. The real environment requires students to explore both in the classroom and out of the classroom. In the virtual environment, this study makes use of Moodle course management system, which requires students to learn in the network under the direction of teachers.This teaching experiment is carried out roughly according to the process of Project Based Learning. In the experiment, the group confirms the research theme and the division of tasks by discussions, and gets the products referring to the data from books, interviews, and network. The evaluation of the outcome and the analysis of the questionnaire show the success of this experiment. The study confirms that Project Based Learning can arouse the students' interest of learning the curriculum, and promote students' abilitiy of using technological tools to solve problems.
