This thesis proposes concept-based science curriculum instruction design strategies, including three aspects: achieving subject integration around the polymeric concepts, making up the unit theme and process activities around the polymeric concepts and designing the polymeric science curriculum around social hot spots. The base is the requirements of curriculum elements to the concept-based curriculum design principle, the integrated science curriculum design requirements to the characteristics of new century science curriculum, and the problems found in the survey. The basic idea to design the strategies is: Use the core concept (equals polymeric concept ) to achieve the integration of subjects out or inner;Design the unit theme around the core concept, and decide the study topic, basic understanding, basic problem and process activities. At the same time, students form the holistic and conceptual understanding of the world with the core concept. Meanwhile, it cultivates the process skills during the activities of solving basic problems. This thesis includes the following parts:The first part introduces the background of this topic and the domestic and international literature reviews. The definition of related concepts and the main research content are concluded, as well as the research methods.The second part is the theoretical basis that mainly discusses the curriculum design principles of concept-based curriculum model. The design of unit theme, core concept, basic understanding, basic problem and process activities are included in this part.The third part is the survey on the recent situation of science curriculum design. Through the survey, relative information about science curriculum design is collected. This survey provides important foundation for putting forward the concept- based science curriculum design strategies.The forth part is the most important research part. This part mainly discuss how to achieve subject integration around the polymeric concept, how to make up the units theme and activities around the polymeric concept, how to design the polymeric science curriculum around social hot spots. The fifth part summarizes the conclusions and shortcomings of the research and the author's future research prospects are included in this part.
