| In 2017,the Ministry of Education issued the latest Compulsory Education Elementary Science Curriculum Standards,advocating interdisciplinary learning methods,and suggested that teachers can try STEM education in teaching practice.STEM is a kind of course organization that is guided by project learning and problem solving.It integrates science,technology,engineering and mathematics into one,which is conducive to cultivating students’ innovative ability.STEM education originated in the United States and gradually developed in the United States in the 1980 s.With the development of STEM education,the humanity "A(Arts)" element was added to STEM education to form STEAM education,which further enriched and developed interdisciplinary thought.In essence,STEAM education is task-driven in solving real-life problems in life,allowing students to solve problems by applying multi-disciplinary knowledge and skills,thereby cultivating students’ practical,innovative and inquiring skills.The advanced countries of the world have gradually joined the ranks of STEAM education reform,the STEAM education concept and education model are integrated into the science education curriculum of primary and secondary schools in China,and it is also the need of China to adapt to the development needs of the times and cultivate innovative talent training models.Therefore,under the STEAM concept,it is imperative to construct a teaching model for the project-based activities of the primary science curriculum with the project completion or problem-solving as the basic model.It is imperative to cultivate the scientific literacy and innovative spirit of primary school students in China.This study uses literature research,experimental research,questionnaires,statistical analysis and other methods,combined with the characteristics and essence of the latest "Standards" and STEAM educational concepts.Firstly,the design principle of the project-based activity of the primary school science based on the STEAM concept is put forward: the content of the project-based activities is in line with the cognitive level of the primary school students,and the content of the project-based activities is best derived from the essence of life and project-based activities,and the project implementation process should consider the personality of the students.Secondly,based on the ADDIE general teaching design model,the design process of the primary science curriculum project activity based on the STEAM concept is defined,including five stages of analysis,design,development,implementation and evaluation,and the teachers are required to complete the content at each stage.Thirdly,this process is used to develop and implement three project-type activities for wireless remote control vehicles,aircraft gliders and Yanggu fans for elementary school high school;Among them,the Yanggu fans project is divided into three activity units in the implementation process,one is the simple model making of Yanggu fans and the other is to use the simple model of Yanggu fans to discuss the factors affecting the performance of Yanggu fans,and third is the physical assembly of the Yanggu fan model.Finally,SPSS statistical analysis software is used to evaluate the overall project-based activity teaching effect and students’ satisfaction with project-based activities,and summarize the lack of experience in the development and implementation of project-based activities. |
