The weblog has been paid much attention ever since it was introduced to educational circles. The development of teathers'blog has been swift in recent years. And the blogs of front-line teachers, which is as an important part of educational blogs, have attracted more and more attention. While at the same time, the teachers'self-reflection about teaching has had a great importance attatched, for it is also significant to promote teachers's professional development. Therefore, how to make better use of weblog technology to advance teachers'self-reflection has become the spotlight of educational circles at the present stage, and this is exactly the topic which this thesis is about to research.The author did long-term observation on the following three significant education weblogsites in China:"Guangzhou Tianhe Tribune","Suzhou Education Blog"and"Zhejiang Haiyan Teachers'blog". After detailed analysis, the author selected six teachers'blogs and their local blog groups among them as the object to study.The author researches the blog-based teachers'self-reflection from two aspects as follows respectively: individual teaching self-reflection and collaborative reflection. For the individual self-refleciton, the research studies the content, level and process of teaching self-reflection blogs. While for the collaborative reflection, the author uses the social network analysis software NetDraw to describe and analyse the comments and replies to the self-reflection blogs. Through the research and analysis mentioned above the author tries to find out the common exisitng problems of the blog-based teaching self-reflection, whereafter the author hold depth inteviews with these six teachers to explore the underlying causes of the problems, then try to give some suggestions of corresponding countermeasures to help the teachers'blog about teaching reflection get on the track of sound progress.This thesis comprises six chapters. The first chapter is introduction, it illustrates the background, research methods, purpose and the meaning of this thesis. The second chapter introduces the status quo of related rearches at home and abroad, such as the research of the development of teachers'blog, the research of teaching self-reflecion and the weblog-based teaching self-reflection. The third chapter is a system analysis of blog-based individual teaching self-reflection and its exsiting problems. The fourth chapter analyzes the collaborative reflection among teachers'blog and tries to explore the factors which influenve the callaboratice reflection. The fifth chapter is aiming to put forward some countermeasures to promote the development of blogs about teaching reflection. The last chapter summarizes the main results and innovation of this research, it also indicates the inadequacies of the thesis and points out the way for further research.
