With the development of informationalization in modern society, informationalization in education has been gradually advanced and implemented. There are growing concerns on the professional development of teachers under the condition of information technology. The professional development of teachers under information age has become an increasingly hot topic of research in the field of Educational Technology. Teachers are the main practitioners of information technology in education, they are an important force to promote information technology in education, and they are the main parts of the professional development of teachers as well. As an individualized product of the information age, blog'application in education is concerned by the relevant field, the attempts and practices of teacher's professional development with the support of blog are being currently carried out in our country.The research of this article emphasizes on the teacher's autonomy, the starting point of the article is the teacher's autonomous professional development with the support of blog. Although the research concerns the teacher's individual development and connects individuals, groups and other relevant factors closely instead of isolating teachers. Whether the blog supports the professional development of teachers and improves the autonomy of teachers is one of the aims of this research. Another aim of the research is that how to encourage and improve the teacher's autonomy professional development.Based on the current situation of the application of the blog in the teacher's professional development, the research attest to the teacher's professional development with the support of blog in the methods of literature investigation, questionnaire survey, tracking and interview etc, digging out the strategies of encouraging, improving and implementing teacher's autonomous professional development, which offer the guiding functions for teacher's autonomous professional development with the support of blog.
