One of the big problems in mathematical teaching is to how to motivate and cultivate the students?learning incentive, which is always a meaningful subject for mathematical teachers. Most researchers agree that the reinforcement of student motivation may be got through setting up a reasonable study environm&nt and arranging study programs and texts in a scientific way. This thesis first expounds the meaning of mathematical study motivation; and then analyses the four factors iii motivating and cultivating the students to learn mathematics, that is, concept learning, principle learning, problem solving and setting -- up of study environment; atid finally proposes the approaches for organizing the study materials arid setting up the study environment. The paper attests the importance of concet)t learning, principle learning, problem solving arid setting棗 up of study environment for motivating and cultivating the students?mathematical learning incentive, from which the students will have a better experience of learning and learning emotion and also become highly-- motivated in mathematical learning. 憀抙e class-~ orgatiizing approaches in this paper is to make full use of systematic and typical materials and to establish an air of positive study emotion for students. ?My study is based on the psychological theory about study motivation and lily teaching practice, which in a sense gives support to the future classroom teaching and is positive in cultivating amid motivating the students to learn mathematics.
