Research On The Design Of CAI Courseware About Application Of The Modern Instructional Media

Along with the coming of knowledge economics age, the degree of social information becoming more and more higher, the total quantity of knowledge increase quickly, and the refresh rate of knowledge becoming more and more faster. In such a case, the society puts forward new requirement with the traditional education that use the textbook, the chalk and the blackboard . That How to teach students to grasp more knowledge in finite time is a difficult problem laid before teaching stuff. It seems more important for the teacher of higher school, because they must train the person who can adapt the developing society. Modern educational media which has plenty of species and perfect functions can record, transfer, store and reappear educational information, so it is the powerful tool that promotes the modernization of teaching . At the same time , new educational media is developed continuously. That brings better conditions and measures for education undoubtedly.However, the questionnaire we carried out in teachers of higher school indicates that the unitary ability of the teachers to use modern instructional media is very limited. They are short of systematic knowledge of modern instructional media and do not understand the functions, usage, making of media courseware entirely. It is no time to delay to train the teachers of the higher schools in the knowledge of modern instructional media. Because the modern instructional media is too complicated to master, a short time training and self-studying only can't grasp them system!cally, it is necessary to develop the computer-assisted instruction courseware to help use them. The CAT courseware that consists of pictures, text and sound can make the learning course easily and lighten greatly the teachers' burden of learning it. What's more, that the teachers study the knowledge of modern educational media by CAI courseware is very convenient, because every teacher can choose when they learn and what to learn. On the other hand, the way can magnify the scale of the training. This thesis discussed the design and development of the courseware of "Application of The Modern Instructional Media" .The thesis consists of six chapters. The chapter 1 is an introduction. It introduces the background and importance of the researches of the dissertation, and the main research work is pointed out too. In chapter 2, it gives a little essential knowledge relating to the modern instructional media, and discusses the important influence of the modern instructional media to the classroom instruction. In the chapter 3, we analyze the main problem when the teachers apply these modern instructional media in the classroom instruction, and expound the importance that the teachers should receive the special training . The chapter 4 is the core of the whole thesis, it gives the concrete process how to design the courseware of "Application of The Modern Instructional Media" . At first, the theory foundation of this courseware is analyzed, and the designing principles relation to it are also given. Then we design the courseware from the instructional design point of view. At last, we design the overall framework and the concrete structure about this courseware. In the chapter 5, it gives some basic requests in the aspect of the development of the courseware. The chapter 6 is the summary of the thesis, it generalize the main work I have made and the main research results.
