Exercise appears to increase reactive oxygen species, which can result in damage to cells and decrease the performance. From the research on free radicals, internal and external, we find that data are not sufficient to show if the different styles of exercise training can lead to different changes in free radical metabolism. So, some researchers pointed out that the contrast research of different exercises training style is necessary.Now, manufacturers have touted antioxidant supplements as a means for athletes to perform better, recovery more quickly and fully from vigorous exercise, or allow them to train more strenuously. In fact, there are lots of good antioxidant medicines in markets, but the overall role of which is not clear. Some speacialist suggested that to make the different medicine act as then" responding position is to be done for researchers.Our research subjects are SD rats with 8 wks ages and we selected the following blood index as the certificates of exercises training stress: Bla, Hb, CK and BUN; We selected three tissue indexes (myocardium and muscle) as antioxidant state of the rats after different exercise training in different times. Our studies are to find the effects of different training and the antioxidant medicine-PX-on antioxidant state and recovery speed of SDrats.We have drawn the following conclusions:1. Three types of exercise training in calm state. One internal exercise: the activity of SOD and GSH-Px in myocardium and muscle is found lowest and the MDA content of myocardium is highest, but the MDA content of muscle is similar to that of the endurance training andinternal training style. Maybe one internal exercise cannot lead to good adaptive changes in the antioxidant state of rats' tissue.2. Internal training: the activity of SOD in myocardium and muscle is lower significantly than that of endurance training group. The MDA content in muscle is higher than that in endurance training group but lower a little in myocardium. As far as the GSH-PX activity in myocardium and muscle, there is no significant difference. Results suggest endurance training can give highest stress to the bodies in the three exercise style, so endurance training style can lead to best adaptive changes in antioxidant state.3. Our research find that the activity of SOD improved significantly immediately after three exercise training style, however the GSH-PX decreased significantly until 24 hours after exercise. The data implicates that SOD may be easily activated contrast with GSH-PX in exercises.4. MDA contents decreased commonly immediately after exercises in myocardium and muscle at the three training style. We think the maybe account for the not long enough time of exercises. When the system of antioxidant is activated fully, there is no losing in antioxidant and oxidant balance.5. Recovery ability. Endurance training group and internal training group were found stronger ability in recovery speed. Results suggest, contrast with one internal training style, endurance training and internal training can both improve the activity of antioxidant enzymes and defense against free radicals damages.6. PX has no effect to Hb concentration in three kinds of exercise training, but can decrease the BUN concentration of one internal training group in the times of calm and immediately after training. And Px has the function of decrease the CK release speed of muscle immediately after training and speeded up the recovery of CK.7. PX express its antioxidant function in three exercise training stylegroups, and in the endurance training group the function is most obviously which can give a union strong effects in antioxidant with exercise style. However, in our experiments, we find that besides the benefit antioxidant effect, PX can also strenthen the perioxidation, especially in muscle.
