With the coming of the information of society and globalism of economic, the spirit of innovation and ability of creation have become the basic factors which effect the status in quo of a nation's survival. It is urgent to perform quality-oriented education, cultivate creative spirit and practical ability and enhance sound development of students' personalities at the stage of basic education. As a teaching model or a teaching process, the problem solving is an effective way to cultivate the mathematical culture of students. Solving problem is a kind of thinking activity, which is not only distinguished with the ability of creative thought but also connected with it. The ability of creative that is embodied by problem solving, and it affects the problem solving directly. The mathematic problem solving teaching in American is built on the basic of four stages of G.Polya's problem solving. The theory of mathematic problem solving teaching in China is produced by eliminating the false and retaining the true of the theories of curriculum,teaching,study and assessment . The teaching experiment of this study began in sep.9,2001,lasted five months .The object of the study is two general classes of Grade Two,119students of the second Middle School of Ningxia City. We adopted problem solving teaching in experimental class, in the process of teaching, teachers organize teaching with the way of solving the task, the structures of classroom teaching includes four steps: mathematizing of concrete materials, logical of math materials, applying of logic knowledge and reflecting of task learning. On the other hand, we adopted the teaching of lecture and practice in controlled class. In the instruction of pedagogy, psychology, system science and the theory of mathematical education it can be induced from the experiment that the basic way to cultivate the ability of creative thought of students is following:1) Paying attention to the cultivating of innovatory consciousness ;2) Creating the problem setting and enhance the drive of problem solving ;3) Cultivating the habit of divergent thinking;4) Emphasizing concentrative thought, and inspiring the intuitive thought;5) Taking notice of the special way of problem solving, cultivating the creative ability;6) Cultivating the ability to feel aestheticism and rich imaginations. |
