Ideas are based upon psychology, and psychology affects the evolution of ideas. As for university students, positive psychological state lays the foundation of ideological education and moral education. It is now the critical moment of the establishment of socialist market economy system and the achievement of socialist modernization aims. Wide and complex changes happened in china society. It becomes a subject requiring consideration how to guide the university students to adjust as quickly as possible to the latest requirements on thoughts, knowledge, capabilities and psychological traits. In the last two decades, the introduction of psychological counseling into moral education, enriches the functions of moral education, updates the concept about the objects of moral education, provides new methods suitable for moral education, and improves the capabilities of the teachers who implement moral education in universities. It is regarded to be the upgrade of moral education in the current situation, the research of new contents and methods of moral education, and one important part of the management and education for university students as well. The thesis is made up by three pars as below:Part one: the discussion of the significance of introducing psychological counseling into moral education in universities. The introduction is thought to help heighten the predictability and efficiency of moral education and improve the capabilities of teachers who carry out moral education in universities.Part two: the analysis in details of the current state of introducingpsychological counseling into moral education in universities. At present there is no general opinion about the significance of psychological counseling adopted in moral education. Psychological counseling has not been widely accepted though it presents new ways for moral education in universities. Psychological counseling does not keep in line with the development of moral education in university although it is now introduced into moral education step by step. The organization and personnel contribution to psychological counseling do not keep in line with the development of the counseling in moral education. In this thesis it, on the one hand, describes the positive function of the introduction of psychological counseling into moral education, on the other hand, it discussed the points what are left be admired.Part three: the proposal of how to help forward moral education in universities with psychological counseling. The methods to promote moral education with the counseling suggested as follows: to better understand the importance of the combination of psychological counseling and moral education in universities; to create a friendly environment for the introduction; to promote psychological counseling and psychological advising lesson in universities under the instruction of moral education tasks in universities; to do widely psychological investigation; to organize a team of moral education teachers in universities who are the masters of both moral education and psychological counseling.
