This paper, in view of the status and weak points in the current mathematics education summarizes the significance of the implementation of the quality-orientation education (quality education for short) in middle school; analyzes its relation with the mathematics teaching and argues for the close link between the citizen's daily life, science and technology advancement, society development and mathematics accomplishment. The author proposes the cultivation of the mathematics quality is the key core of mathematics teaching and the basic way is to implement the quality education. The content of-the quality education in middle school teaching (patriotism education, dialectical materialism education, cultivation of scientific-humanity spirit, ecology ethics education, aesthetics education, the fostering of the innovative spirit and practical ability) is illustrated and the corresponding strategies and methods (inherent unity of the development of mathematic knowledge and ability; the problem based mathematics teaching; the inquiry study; psychological quality training aesthetics in mathematics teaching) are put forward. Based on the investigation study and references and a mini-experiment, the author argues for the appropriateness and comprehensiveness of the quality education in the middle school mathematics teaching and the feasibility and effectiveness of the strategies and methods.The paper focuses on the study of the content, strategies and methods in the implementation of the quality education in the middle school mathematics teaching.
