In the poor district rural junior high school, because the educational conceptions are behind the times, and the effect of test-oriented education has lasted for many years, the attention paid to the students' feelings is extremely not enough in the activities of managing students, the ways to manage students informal communities are simple and constrained, it can not satisfy the requests of the new century's students which is to develop the abilities of independent development, the stronger cooperation and discovery. Thereafter, it's necessary to carry out deeper research on the students informal communities in the rural areas so that we can find some managing tactics which is fitter to cultivate students' ability of independent development. So the researcher carried out some investigations of interview and questionnaire on students informal communities at three rural junior high school in Dingxi District and drew the following conclusion.l.As an important question, informal communities should be pay more attention in the work of managing students at school.2. The main features of informal communities at junior high school at rural district are: (1) forming reason, not only space distance, ability attraction, interests, personalities which are found in the early researches, but also economic condition of the families, living environment (counties and country sides), original foundation of relationships; (2) The qualities students choose when they look for their partners are positive, healthy, and are basically consistent with their parents' expectations; (3) Contents of activities, not only study, chat, travel and play, interesting actions, but also doing some rural work to help adults; (4) Nature, most of the communities' behaviors seldom break disciplines and laws and they seldom have leaders who have obvious position and influence; (5) We can consider the students informal communities which are based on interests and hobbies as advantageous condition in themanagement of class, it's difficult to manage the students communities which are drafted apart from class.3. Disadvantages of present managing methods: (1) Not pay enough attention to students' emotions, having some distortions on the managing principle that is "teaching is dominant"; (2) Means of "blocking" is not only cruel torture which limit students' independent development, but also the major enemy standing between teachers and students in understanding each other; (3) The present means of "leading" is a surface suspicion on respect for students' independent development, interests, hobbies and feelings. In reality, it is still compulsive, and unfit to develop students' ability of independent development.Aiming at the above conclusion, writer want to bring up with six suggestions which are constructed with "participatory" managing method is central , and hope it can play a positive role on the management of students at junior high school in poor rural district.
