The cultural identification of various minorities and sub-cultural groups through cultural interactions and integration as well as the "self" subject under different cultural backgrounds have drawn more and more attention in the academic fields. The subjects and participants of the study involve Tibetan college students from Gansu, Qinghai, and Sichuan Provinces as the object of study. The students are from different higher institutions, among which there are Northwest Minority Institute in Gansu Province, Qinghai Minority Institute as well as Qinghai Normal University in Qinghai Province. This research mainly employs quantitative method with the necessary qualitative method. The instruments of this research are The Questionnaire on the Cultural Identification of Tibetan College Students and The Self-esteem of The Young Students modified version for Tibetan students. The research aims to testify and construct the structural model of the cultural identification of Tibetan students, and probes into the reliability and visualized validity of The Questionnaire of The Cultural Identification of Tibetan College Students and systematically studies the characteristics of cultural identification and its relationship with self-esteem. The conclusions for the study are as follows:1.The structural model of the cultural identification of Tibetan college students.1) The relatively ideal matching of the model of 15 elements in the first phase and 3 elements in second phase in the cultural identification of Tibetan college students with its data better proves the sound theory construction. The former model takes the latter model as the basis, while the latter is the continuation of the former.2) Reliability of the modified Questionnaire on The Cultural Identification of The Tibetan College Students is 0.955. Reliability of each item is ideal, and the visualized validity is trustable.2.The characteristics of the cultural identification of the Tibetan college student and its relationship with self-esteem.1) Generally Speaking, Tibetan college students have a higher cultural identification.2) Gender difference doesn't contribute to the cultural identification of the Tibetan college students, but regional difference does. The interplay of these time elements is not significant.3) The cultural identification of the Tibetan college students varies significantly in grades and majors, but the interplay of those two elements is not significant.4) The cultural identification of the Tibetan college students varies significantly in Chinese level and academic achievements, but the interplay of those two elements is not as significant.5) Generally speaking, the higher cultural identification the Tibetan college students possess, the lower the self-esteem.6) Generally Speaking, the higher the self-esteem, the lower the cultural identification Tibetan college students possess.
