The advanced education in the democratic base area against Japan is to indicate the superior specialized education, it is a cadre school which trains the talents on military, politics, economy and culture for the War of Resistance Against Japan. The special .War environment and urgent need of war were not allowed to found the four-year or three-year standard universities in the democratic base area against Japan, it is necessary to found revolutionary advanced school in carrying out new system, new course, taking the name of universities, official schools and cadre schools, these kinds of schools are roughly divided into three types according to headship system: schools directly under the control committee; schools directly under the shanxi-Gansu-Ningxia Border region; the schools directly under the other democratic base areas against Japan.During the war of resistance against Japan, under the leadship of Chinese Communist Party, the advanced education of base areas had broken the Chinese and foreign traditional education patterns Proceeding from actual conditions of Chinese revolution war and the base areas, it formed its characteristics. The main are (1) the times characters of educational purposes. During the different historic period, the each class or party has different historical tasks, it makes the educational purposes have the times characters. The training target of high-grade education in the base area is to make a revolutionary vanguard with politics vision and the sacrifice spirit. (2) intergrading education with practice. The education and educational activities are main channels which realize the educational target, the advanced education in the base areas, for the demand of the war, shortened the school system, the offered courses are few and refined, sticking to the principles of studying for the sake of application and intergrading theory with practice.(3)cultivating democratic habits, carrying outintergrading theory with practice.(3)cultivating democratic habits, carrying out autonomous management. It is more difficult to cultivate the habits of democratic life in china which is without traditional democracy, but in china of war anti-Japan, it must enlarge democracy and strengthening the force of anti-Japan war, preparing the stable foundation of democratic republic, therefore, the advanced education in base areas takes the principles of democratic centralism correctly, and cultivating the democratic habits. (4)The miniaturization of school's life .To meet the demand of the war of Resistance against Japan, the advanced education in base areas speeded up military trains and study, cultivated the talents serving for the war of national liberation.The advanced education in the base area developed on the basis of education of Red Army during the second Civil Revolutionary War ,it exceeded the education of Red Army on the scale , object, content, method and the standard degree. It takes an important Position among ,the whole education of the base areas, it is important part of New Democratic education, it not only cultivated a lot of talents for the war and construction, but also provided the valuable references for our modern education.Of course, the advanced education in base areas is not complete, it has some shortcomings, because the rectification movement corrected these shortcomings timely, and made it developing correctly.
