Based on a research into the solitary self-discipline and the education of cyber ethics for college students, this paper aims to seek for the relationship between the solitary self-discipline and the education of cyber ethics for college students, and explore the realistic significance and the methods of cultivating the college students1 cyber ethics with the solitary self-discipline.Part I The internal relations between the solitary self-discipline and the education of cyber ethics. This part can be divided into three small parts. First, based on the origin and development of the solitary self-discipline, and by exploring its nature, its content when regarded as a morality-cultivating method and its main idea when regarded as a lofty ethics, the author displays its philosophy. Second, by analyzing the features of the education of cyber ethics, with a combination of the necessity of the education of cyber ethics for college students at present, the author explores the basic requirement of an education of cyber ethics. Third, based on the requirements of a self-disciplined cyber ethics for college students, with a combination of the specific content of the solitary self-discipline, the author researches the coherence between the solitary self-discipline and the education of cyber ethics for college students.Part II The realistic significance of cultivating the college students' cyber ethics by means of solitary self-discipline. The author analyzes thenecessity of cultivating college students' cyber ethics in four ways. It serves to stimulate their cyber humanism and improves their understanding of the cyber ethics. It provides the college students a healthy psychology of cyber ethics and a righteous awareness of cyber ethics. It prevents the college students form cyber misconducts and speeds up their construction of cyber disciplines. It supplies the college students an ideal cyber ethics and encourages pursue of lofty cyber ethics. Part III The methods of cultivating the college students' cyber ethics with the solitary self-discipline. Grasping the natures of the solitary self-discipline as both a morality-cultivating method and a lofty ethics, the author explores how to have an effective education of cyber ethics for college students from two points of view. First, focusing on the specific content of the solitary self-discipline as a morality-cultivating channel, the author discusses how to have a directive education of cyber ethics for college students. Then by quoting the essence of solitary self-discipline as a lofty ethics, the author reveals how to achieve a self-education of cyber ethics for all college students.
