The various educational phenomenon which is caused by IT(information technology) has become a very important research subject of both the theory and practice of modern educational technology. By using ways of investigating and document, this research subject summaries the situation of IT education in schools of Tianshui area, analyses factors influencing teachers' usage of IT in their teaching, finds the existing problem and puts forward corresponding strategies and suggestions. The thesis consists of four parts:Part one: A statement of the background, significance, purpose and way of thinking and research.Part two: A summary of the content of investigation. Questions were handed out and collected to investigate eight items such as: the resource situation of IT, teachers' usage of it, teachers' viewpoints, students, leaders and parents towards IT education etc. Together with conversations and interviews, illustrating the result of the investigation through data process.Part three: Analysis on the result of investigation. This part analyzes the main problems in IT resource establishment, the usage of the resource by the teachers according to the result of investigation, and the main factors which influence teachers' usage of IT in their teaching.Part four: Strategies and suggestions:a. Establish a proper mentality of IT education.b. Pay attention to the basic problem in the establishment of "three wares".c. Reinforce the strength and effectiveness of IT education training.d. Speed up and strengthen the subject establishment of IT education in Normal Schools and Universities.
