The thesis stems from the thinking on the management of school in my job practice, mainly concerning how the Changsha Foreign Language School (CFLS) uses strategies and take measures to improve its competence and create a first-class school.Having proved the feasibility of the industrilization of education, we can put the theory of strategy management, which was once only used in enterprises, into the management of a school.As the first foreign language school set up by government in Hunan, CFLS is facing severe competence and challenge as well as a good chance of development on the bases of the theory of core competence. CFLS brings out the brand managing strategy. It rectified the school asset to create the famous brand of the school and to form the superiority in the competence.CFLS first puts the characteristic brand strategy in the leading position. It develops its feature in teaching, the school culture, the school image and also a characteristic brand creating tactics so as to make it well known as quickly as possible.Quality is life. The key point to become a leading school relies on the first class quality. To create quality by good management and to develop through quality is the quality strategy in CFLS, which is also the center of all the work in the school. Nowadays, the school overall quality management is popular in America and other counties, which can set a good example for CFLS.To manage a school well, the school human resource is also an essential factor. A good school human resource is the basis of a leading brand. CFLS adopts the human resource management in the practice of the school management. It reforms the unsuitable system and always puts the human resource in the most important place, which helps to form a firm foundation for creating the leading brand.Modern education is various and open system. CFLS borrows the market rules from the operation of industry, and brings in diversification strategy in the school management, opening the school to the society and the market, and gathering the asset for the school development.
