Researchers found out that Parent-child Communications consists of the processes of .exchanging information between parents and children in order to understand and believe in each other as well as cooperation, which are the basis of family education and one of the important methods to set up the foundation of family education. Researching the parent-adolescent communications provided evidence for parents to communicate well with their children. We found out that this study should be significant both in theory and in practice.Based on both comment on the concepts and theories of parent-child communications problems and the reviews of the current research situations about the parent-child communications problems, this study did a tentative study by mean of an assessment index and a field study of middle school students' communication problems. The main results are follows:1. There are five kinds of assessment indexes of communications problem of middle school students: behavioral restriction, methods and skills of communication, emotional support, communication attitude, lack of communication. In writing this paper, the author designed a middle school students' communication problem scale, which had been proven to be of good reliability and validity.2. The statistical analysis shows that the level of middle school students' communications is not high but better than mid level.3. Considering the whole study, communications problem had no significant difference on the variables of gender, source, grade, only child or not, economic condition, parents'job, parents' educational degree, family structure, etc.4. The results of this study showed that middle school students' communication problem is significantly correlated with family parenting patterns. For example, compared with parents with the warm and comprehensive pattern to treat their childrenwhich shows a significant positive correlation, there is significant negative correlation with communication problems and parents with punishment, firm control, and rejection, denial, and overprotection patterns to deal with their children. But when parents use a predilection pattern to deal with their children, there is no significant correlation with communication problems.5. The research findings showed that communication problems have a significant negative correlation with students' scores in schooling.Based upon the results of this study, some practical solutions for solving the problems in parent-adolescent communication of middle school students are presented.
