Research On The Modern Learning Style Of College Students

The learning society in the future is a society, which takes on the comprehensive learning concept, the independent learning concept, the innovative learning concept and the lifelong learning concept. How to learn to study has become an educating concept, a learning concept and a living concept as well. As a result, one cannot base himself upon the world easily if he does not know how to grasp knowledge. But the learning style is the very key to study.The purpose of the higher education reform is to cultivate an advanced researcher with the core character of innovative spirit and practical ability, thus realize the combination of production, study and research in college or university. To explore a modern college learning style, which accommodates to the learning society, is of importance. The main purpose of the higher education reform is to search out a new learning style, by which students can study as the real hosts in an active, bi-directional, groping, discussing process, and in turn which can enhance the students' ability of self-study, innovation, collaboration and research. However, the reigning traditional teaching style, which focuses on the knowledge infusion and absorption, restricts the learning style, the interests of students and the effect of study, what's more, it badly inhibits the students' development of the innovative spirit and practical ability.Considering the whole country, the reform of students' learning style in higher school goes formalistic and lacks systemic theoretical research and practical operation. This dissertation will probe into the theory of the learning style and show some practical examples, hoping to give some useful help to the reform of teaching and learning in higher school.Based on the basic study theories of pedagogy and psychology, the article analyzes the character of college study and college students, then brings forward three kinds of modern college learning style, that is, independent learning,collaborative learning and inquiry learning. As a typical modern learning style, inquiry learning cherishes special advantages. After having expounded the study theory, the article gives a deep research in the practice of physics in itself in view of the teaching and learning practice in college physics.This dissertation adopts several research methods such as literature analysis, questionnaire survey, interview survey, experimental operation and so on. Besides elaborate investigation and analysis, the author carries out the learning style in practice.
