Now people pay more attention to the integration of IT& curriculums in the tide of reforming curriculum and popularizing IT in education. Both IT education and other curriculums can benefit from this kind of teaching model. Integration promotes the 8th basic educational course reform. Meanwhile, it is the major aspect and channel of IT education in school and plays a key role in the course of IT education. According to the integration essence of IT & the curriculums which is to change the traditional teaching structure and construct dominate- subject teaching structure, the thesis studies and practises the junior English teaching methods supported by the modern IT in the angle of general IT. Through classroom observing, interview, summarizing, contrast and document retrieval, the thesis puts forward five-step teaching method which fully exploits possibility and facility under IT on the basis of modern instruction theory, learning theory, achievement and present problems. Then it designs five-step teaching method in junior English classroom with teachers and put it into practice under thought of action research method.After explaining research background, research meaning, research approach, the first part defines the main concept It includes information technology, integration of IT & the curriculums and integration of IT & the junior English class .According to the standard of English course, the second part puts forward five -step teaching method in integrating IT & the junior English class with information technology under the theory frame of the relevant teaching method, advanced educational thought, theory and experience of teachers.The third part elaborates the factors of five -step teaching method which is teaching idea, functional goal, teaching content, type of activity, the relation among four elements, teaching program. Then the part summarizes the characteristic of five-step teaching method and explains IT application strategies.Through talking and cooperating with the teachers, the fourth part carries out five-step teaching method and summarizes the effect and the questions. In the end, it provides several suggestions.The fifth part concludes the achievements and deficiency in the research.
